Voici les évènements majeurs de la carrière de Miyavi. Pour plus de précisions sur les différents CDs évoqués, je vous invite à consulter la discographie.
En Juin 1999, Miyabi, anciennement du groupe Loop, rejoint Sakito, Kikasa et Kazuki dans le groupe indies Dué le quartz. Il y tiendra un rôle majeur : il compose la quasi-totalité des morceaux et écrit un certain nombre de paroles.
En novembre de la même année, sort le premier mini-album du groupe, Mikansei no Jekyl to Hyde, déjà fort prometteur.
La consécration viendra avec Jisatsu Ganbou, qui sort le 28 mai 2000, et reconnu comme l'un des meilleurs mini-albums indies.
21 août 2000 : le groupe fait son premier one man live au Shibuya On Air West.
Le 14 février 2001, le groupe organise un concert à deux endroits simultantément, au Shibuya On Air West et On Air East. Je m'explique : le groupe joue au On Air East et le concert est diffusé en direct sur un écran géant au On Air West.
En septembre et octobre 2001, Miyabi sort deux photo books.
Le 12 mai 2002, sort l'excellent mini-album Rodeo.
Le 8 juin, contre toute attente, Dué le quartz annonce sa séparation. Un ultime live aura lieu le 22 septembre au Shibuya AX.
Miyabi annonce cependant qu'il se lance dans un carrière solo et modifie son nom en Miyavi. C'est le 31 octobre 2002 que sort son premier album solo, gagaku.
Le 30 novembre sont sortis simultanément deux singles, Pop is dead et Shindemo Boogie Woogie, tous deux accompagnés d'une VHS contenant leur clip respectif.
Après quelques singles et un film, Oresama, Miyavi sortira son deuxième album Galyuu le 2 décembre

February 14, 2001, the group organizes a concert at two places simultantément, in Shibuya One Air West and One Air East. I am explained: the group plays One Air East and the concert is diffused on line on a giant screen with One Air West. In September and October 2001, Miyabi leaves two photograph books. May 12, 2002, leaves excel it Rodeo mini-album. June 8, counters any waiting, Dué quartz announces its separation. Ultimate live will take place on September 22 in Shibuya AX. Miyabi announces however that it launches out in a career solo and modifies its noun in Miyavi. It is on October 31 2002 which its first album solo leaves, gagaku. November 30 left simultaneously two individual, Pop is dead and Shindemo Boogie Woogie, both accompanied by a VHS containing their respective clip. After some individual and a film, Oresama, Miyavi will leave its second Galyuu album on December 2
